Tynemouth

Freezing temperatures brought snow to parts of the United Kingdom, including Tynemouth and Hartlepool. Temperatures dipped below freezing across Scotland and the far North of England overnight, with a low of -3.4 recorded at Great Dun Fell in Cumbria.

When the East Coast line was taken into public ownership fares were kept down and it actually turned a profit. Perhaps it’s time it did again
