Australian police say DNA testing on three bones found last month in the New South Wales state match missing French tourist Erwan Ferrieux. The Bank of England has announced that mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing will be the new face of the £50 bank note. Turing is most famous for breaking the German Enigma code. The cracked code is widely believed to have ended the war two years earlier than expected, potentially saving millions of lives. Turing was persecuted for being gay, and chose chemical castration over prison. The British government apologised for its treatment of Turing in 2009.
