More than 1000 comedians have descended down under this month to show-off their funny business at the 27th Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Over half a million comedy lovers are expected to catch 477 events across 120 venues - totalling a staggering 5860 plus performances. The season launched with the annual Melbourne International Comedy Festival Oxfam Gala and this year's Opening Night Allstars Supershow, both at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda.
UK acts appearing in the festival include Stephen K Amos, Idiots of Ants, Sarah Millican, Jenny Eclaire, Jimmy McGhie, Loretta Maine and Paul Foot.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival runs until April 21, but if you can't make it this year catch a sample of the laughs in the clips below.
