I've got an addiction and they haven't made patches for it yet. There are no groups to help me and no support. In fact, telly shows actively feed my habit.
It's time for me to stand up and admit it to myself. My name is Sonia - and I'm an interior design-aholic.
Scatter cushions, runner mats, floral patterns, grand pianos and fancy bookcases - I'm head over heels for them all, especially after an evening with Kirstie Allsop (one of the major pin cushion peddlers in the country).
And I'm not the only woman going head over heels for all things interior on the telly.
According to the Daily Mail, 4.6 million UK homeowners use inspiration from TV to decorate their homes. With the homes of the Sex and the City girls coming top, we all seem to want the Carrie Bradshaw effect in our apartments.
But getting the right style could cause your bank balance to hyperventilate - a replica of Carrie's apartment will set you back more than £500,000!
That's why I've found a few of the most iconic (and sought after) pieces of furniture from your favourite shows, but with a twist... you'll actually be able to afford them!
Chandler and Joey's La-Z-Boys (sort of)
The number of times I've watched Friends (a figure probably in the millions by now) and dreamed of lazing in Chandler and Joey's man cave, reclining in those lovely La-Z-Boys and chilling with my two favourite manchildren.
Although my dreams of cuddling up to Chandler Bing might be remote, I can still grab Celebrity recliners for a good price online. Head over to a retailer like Recliner World for the perfect alternative to La-Z-Boys.
Now, if I can only find a way to bring Matthew Perry home with me for free.
Frasier's grand piano
When I curl up to watch Frasier, I can almost feel the sophistication emanating from the screen, especially in the scenes with his wonderful grand piano. Watching Daphne and Niles tickle the ivories and fall in love is comfort telly at its finest.
One of your cheapest options comes from Chase Direct, where you'll be able to pick up an electric grand piano for just over a grand. It might not quite have the debonair air of Frasier, but it still looks mighty impressive.
Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe
Sex and the City is as close as watching the telly has come to feeding all my addictions - it's got clothes AND fashion accessories!
I need somewhere to fit my shoes and scatter cushions. I need a walk-in wardrobe like feisty fashionista Carrie Bradshaw.
Thankfully, my need for wardrobe space can be sated on a micro-budget.
All you have to do is combine a PAX free-standing wardrobe (available from IKEA for a minimum of £170) with a series of wall dividers to give you the illusion of a walk-in wardrobe. These work best in a narrow space, but IKEA's wardrobe planner lets you perfect the layout to suit any room.
Actually, all this telly interior design is putting me well on the way to a perfect home. I might finally be cured of my addiction. Well, maybe I'll buy a few more scatter cushions...
