The ex-’Loose Women’ and ‘Countdown’ star has backed the ‘BBC Breakfast’ weather presenter because she doesn’t have previous dance experience, like some of the other contestants currently participating.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Carol said of her namesake: "She's doing brilliantly, isn't she? Also with Carol, she hasn't been trained in a stage school and is such a lovely lady. I think it's unfair that you have stage school graduates... there should be some handicap somewhere."
Carol Kirkwood
Vorders, who was the second contestant to be voted off in series two in 2004, added: "She's very gracious when it comes to criticism. She shouldn't be criticised though - people should be encouraged."
Two contestants who boast previous dance training in this year’s competition include Jay McGuiness and Helen George.
As well as being a former member of boyband The Wanted, Jay studied at Charlotte Hamilton School of Dance in Newark, Nottinghamshire, from the age of 12.
‘Call The Midwife’ actress Helen is also a trained ballerina, and both she and Jay have topped the leaderboard so far.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Saturday (31 October) with a Halloween special at 6.35pm on BBC One.
